One of the very first things I published as a scholar in higher education was on this topic of memory and recall. As part of my teaching, I had already immersed myself in brain-based learning and memory and recall are certainly a part of that. The work I published in the professional development piece pictured below is the bases for our lesson this week.
What are the multiple memory pathways and do we use them while we teach? Are we maximizing our chance to get our content into long-term memory by purposefully accessing ALL of the different ways that humans can memorize and store information?
